Armetrice Cabine Elected to Second Term for International Non-Profit Council

Woodstock, GA, July 1, 2024—Professional photographer Armetrice Cabine of Armetrice Photography in Woodstock, GA was elected to the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Council for the 2024 – 2027 term. An international nonprofit association with more than 35,000 members, PPA is ultimately governed by its members through such council representatives.

Armetrice looks forward to representing all photographers in the state of GA and ensuring their voices are heard. Armetrice also plans to continue her work assisting photographers in the state of Georgia and beyond with increasing their photographic skills and knowledge. She looks forward to helping more photographers become Certified Professional Photographers and raising the bar on what is expected of professional photographers.

PPA Councilors are professional photographers who volunteer their time and service to guide and act as the voice for their state’s PPA members. Duties include discussing and voting on changes to the bylaws and the association’s leadership (via the election of the Nominating Committee and the Board of Directors). They also play a crucial role in sharing the PPA message to existing, new, and prospective PPA members in their state.

About Armetrice:
Armetrice is an award-winning photographer. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Lawrence Technological University and a master’s in business administration degree from the University of Michigan. She joined Professional Photographers of America in 2015 and founded Armetrice photography. She received her Certified Professional Photographer certificate from Professional Photographers of America in 2018 and has continued to increase her knowledge and expand her skills. Armetrice has served on the board for Georgia Professional Photographers Association, this is her second term as a PPA council member for the state of Georgia, she serves on the board for the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce and serves as the communications director for the Georgia Nature Photographers Association. Local Photographer’s Work Goes to International Exhibition

Armetrice Cabine of Armetrice Photography is honored by peers and jurors for high-quality photography.

Woodstock, GA November 15, 2020—Photographs created by Armetrice Cabine of Armetrice Photography in Woodstock have recently been accepted into the General Collection of Professional Photographers of America’s 2020 International Photographic Competition. Cabine’s work will be on display at the upcoming Imaging USA, held virtually January 17-19, 2021. Imaging USA is one of the largest annual conventions and expos for professional photographers.

A panel of 36 eminent jurors from across the United States selected the top photographs from over 5,000 total submitted entries at PPA headquarters in Atlanta. Judged against a standard of excellence, 1,706 images were selected for the General Collection and 865 (roughly 17 percent) were selected for the esteemed Loan Collection—the best of the best. The Loan Collection images will all be published in the much-anticipated “Loan Collection” book by Marathon Press.

Titled ‘Who’s There?’ and ‘Oregon In The Fall’ Cabine’s photographs will be in the International Photographic Exhibition, alongside other top photographic works from the competition; traveling and special invitational displays. These images constitute one of the world’s largest annual exhibits of professional photography gathered simultaneously in one place.
